Ministry Background: I can't really remember when I wasn't involved in Ministry! From helping my mom put together crafts for her Sunday school class as a kid, to helping out with Edge and Confirmation at my own parish as a teen, I grew up with a love for ministry and a desire to evangelize. As I got older though, I struggled a lot trying to find a balance between what was right and what seemed fun at the time. In the midst of all this, I just wanted to find love and acceptance. My life just seemed so empty, as I had been living for myself- wanting to be loved without realizing that it is in giving that we receive. Then, something awesome happened: my big sister served a year with NET Ministries of Canada. She came back totally changed, in love with the Lord, and fully alive. Just seeing her like that impacted me so deeply. I wanted to live an authentic life. So, I also applied to serve with NET Canada 2013-2014, and by the grace of God, the accepted me, made me a team leader, and put me on a team with 11 strangers to drive across Canada putting on over 150 retreats that year. I thought God was done, but I had simply dipped a toe in the ocean of His mercy. I was then called to join NET staff where I served for two more years, working as a supervisor for the two travelling teams, providing pastoral care as well as evaluating and aiding the ministry. Over my three years with NET, the Lord broke and healed me- rooting my heart in Him.
Passions and interests: I love to draw, play guitar poorly, listen to music, boulder, make puns, sing off key, read, wrestling Canadians, and long romantic walks on the beach! I am very passionate about women's ministry- I think every woman should be able to know and believe that they are beautifully and wonderfully made! I am also passionate about the fight against Human Trafficking. Let's end modern day slavery! How did you become involved with ABLAZE/why are you involved?: I became involved with Ablaze Ministries because both my sisters have worked here! I was moving back to Texas from Canada, when my sister told me about this awesome job with these amazing, holy people, and God did the rest!
