This past month has been hard. As some of you may know, I went to college right after high school planning to major in Sports Management. After a year and a half of only getting A’s in my electives, I decided to take my talents elsewhere. I discerned to serve as a missionary for NET in Sydney, Australia. It was a great year full of personal growth, especially prayer. Each day after breakfast, we would take an hour to personally pray. At first, I kept telling myself that there was NO way that I could sit down and talk to God for an hour straight. Ultimately I ended up loving it, and thirsting for more.
I tell you this so you can understand a little bit about my past year or so that you might understand where I’m coming from. That whole year I called myself a college dropout. I would love to see people’s initial expression when I told them that. They then asked what I wanted to do with my life, as if college was the ONLY way to advance in life. When I got home from Australia, I accepted the wonderful position at CCFM, and also decided to be a full time student.
So now, the rubber meets the road. Class has started, as well as the youth nights. I am constantly on the go. Making sure I stay on top of class as well as my youth nights, and still having time to pray is defin that whether you spend 3 seconds or 3 hours with Him, it may always grow deeper.
